LASER Photo Facial
BroadBand Light technology utilizes the power of pulsed light to deliver excellent phototherapy results. By selecting the appropriate wavelength or filter, our provider will be able to treat a broad range of skin conditions caused by skin aging and sun exposure. The light energy delivered by the LASER gently heats the upper layers of the skin. This process helps restore the skin to its natural state. In addition, the photothermal energy targets and eliminates many of the fine vessels that cause redness and the unwanted melanin responsible for pigmented lesions.
What does a Photo facial treat?
Any area of your body can be treated. The most commonly treated areas are those most exposed to the damaging effects of sun light, such as face, neck, back of the hands, chest, arms and shoulders. A series of photo facial treatments are highly effective for a variety of skin conditions such as sun damage or brown spots, broken capillaries, small spider veins, general skin redness and facial flushing. These treatments consistently and predictably improve the visible appearance of the skin with little or no down time.
How many LASER treatments will I need and how often?
Generally we recommend 3-5 photo facial rejuvenation treatments (each 3 weeks apart) depending on the amount of damage to the skin. After the initial series, maintenance sessions are often needed. Most of the damage to our skin occurred early on in life. What brings it to the surface is more sun exposure.
How much improvement will I see?
Thirty-two consecutive patients of Fitzpatrick skin types I-III underwent 1 to 7 treatments with intense pulsed light. Following treatment, 83% percent of patients had reduced redness, 75% noted reduced flushing and improved skin texture, and 64% noted fewer acneiform breakouts. — Journal of Drugs in Dermatology
What can I expect during my IPL or LASER treatment?
Each photo facial rejuvenation treatment lasts 15-60 minutes. We will remove all make-up, sun block and face creams. Men will be asked to shave on the day of treatment, prior to their arrival. Eye shields will be applied to protect the eyes. A cool soothing gel will be applied on the skin prior to treatment, which will help reduce discomfort. In addition, a cold air is blown on the skin to cool the surface of the skin and help with any discomfort. After the procedure you may be asked to ice the area and will be given any additional post-treatment instructions.
What can I expect after my treatment?
Redness similar to a mild sunburn following the treatment generally lasts less than 24 hours. Avoid anything that creates heat for 2 days after treatment- hot bath, sauna, and exercise. Avoid direct sun exposure (natural and artificial) for 7-10 days following each treatment. Pigment present in the treated area will usually darken. This is referred to as “microcrusting”. Do not pick or scratch these areas. They will naturally flake off in 3-14 days depending on the area of the body treated. We recommend a microdermabrasion after your treatment to help remove the remaining crusting (1 week for face, 2 weeks for body after photo facial. We will provide you with complete take home instructions about your post treatment care.
Aging and Discoloration
Pigmentation affects so many people. Although, some types of pigmented lesions exist at birth, often times pigment represents one of the first signs of aging. That is why so many people are interested in removing pigment. In fact, this market is about double the size of the market for the removal of tattoos.
Using the principle of selective photothermolysis, light-based treatment targets different chromophores in the skin. Chromophores selectively absorb the laser or light energy as heat and yield the desired response.
These optimal wavelengths of light clear pigmented lesions by targeting melanin. The damaged pigmented lesions are then cleared by the body. They undergo a mild desquamation and slough off, removing the appearance of the lesion from the skin. Every patient has different needs in terms of sun damage and downtime.
Patients can expect to see improvements to:
- Hyperpigmentation from sun damage
- Uneven skin tone and age spots
Laser Scar Removal
Treating scars is easier than you think. Choose laser scar removal to improve surgical and acne scars. Laser scar removal uses powerful technology to reduce the look of scars without harming surrounding skin. In just a few fast, easy treatment sessions, scars are much less visible, leaving behind smoother, more attractive skin.
How laser scar treatment works
Unlike surgery, laser scar treatment uses short pulses of micro-fine laser light to reach deeply into the skin’s sub-layers, treating the support structure. Then the body’s natural healing process sweeps away older, damaged tissue and rebuilds it with fresh, new collagen and elastin—the crucial building blocks of normal-looking skin. It’s a fast and simple procedure that’s easy to tolerate and requires little-to-no downtime.
Choose laser scar removal for:
- Little to no downtime treatments
- Simple procedure with minimal discomfort
- Quick, non-invasive treatment sessions
- Excellent scar removal outcomes
ThermiVa® applications use radiofrequency energy to gently heat tissue. The patent pending ThermiVa electrode is designed for applications including the vaginal anatomy.
ThermiVa is a non-surgical vaginal tightening treatment for women who want to reclaim what childbirth or aging may have taken away. Using the same technology that’s used in ThermiTight and ThermiSmooth, radiofrequency energy is sent to the desired area (internally or externally), heating the tissue and stimulating the body’s own collagen. ThermiVa is performed in three treatments over the course of three months.
Issues of gynecologic health are commonly seen in post-menopausal women, breast cancer survivors and women who have had a hysterectomy. In the US, as many as 50% of 64 million post-menopausal women suffer from changes to their gynecologic health*, and over 2.8M breast cancer survivors**.

The procedure helps tremendously with the quality of sex and the quality of life of the woman over the age of 55, the vaginal area tends to lose elasticity, and the production of the body’ natural lubrication is significantly diminished. Sex can become very uncomfortable for the woman and her partner. But once the vagina is recalibrated to behave as its ‘younger’ self with the area becomes tighter and more elastic, and the patient’s ability to self-lubricate is often restored. Physicians are calling the ThermiTight™ procedure “game changing” as there are currently limited treatment options for restoring gynecologic health. Patients have stated that ThermiVA is a “life changing” procedure, and they feel almost immediate results after the first of the three recommended treatments.
